“The Dead Ones”

I have just returned from my first day working with an independent movie, being filmed in Western Baltimore, called “The Dead Ones”. I do not want to leak any information about the movie itself, but, there is a scene involving an art room, full of easels, with various still life paintings and sketches. I provided paintings and sketches of the still life from multiple angles to be presented as props for the actors to work on during shots. It was a very interesting experience being on location of a movie set as it was being put up around me. I got to meet several interesting characters: key grips, make up artists, set designers, etc and some of them even stopped to try their hands at sketching with me on set for a bit! Obviously, I did not get to keep any of the pieces I made, because they had to stay on set for filming, which starts next week. However, I did manage to get a photo of one of the chalk pastel sketches I whipped out.

Over all this was an awesome experience so far, I look forward to seeing my name getting mention in the credits (and possibly even being an extra).
